The Healthy Schools Summit prepares current and future school health champions to lead the healthy school movement in their local and regional communities. This year, we are excited to announce a partnership for a joint conference with OSPI’s Institutional Education Department, serving those who educate and work with our state’s incarcerated youth.  This year’s Summit will bring together the institutional, education and health communities to create and support healthy schools in which all students can succeed.

This year, the Summit will focus on addressing the needs of the whole child through rich and vibrant support systems. For many youth, their primary support will be their family, however for some youth, the best support system is a rich web of community support services. This year’s conference will explore how to create stronger connections between schools, families, community organizations and other public agencies so that a student’s social, emotional, physical and academic needs are met.
